ABOUT TWO RED PENS & THE EDITORS
Proofreading is about searching your manuscript for errors, both grammatical and typographical, before publishing your manuscript, errors that are easily missed in the copy editing stage. Proofreading means examining your text carefully to find and correct typographical errors and mistakes in grammar, style, and spelling. Our team will correct grammatical errors, including punctuation, capitalization, verb tense, spelling, sentence structure, coherence, and flow.
The value of a proofreader is this: After he or she has reviewed and revised a document, you can be sure that it is ready for your intended audience. Copy editors and proofreaders ensure that material is clear and consistent, complete and credible, and that text is well written and grammatically correct.
With Colleen and Rogena and their skill, they have you covered. We all know two sets of eyes are better than one. Final Eyes. One last pass to make sure all grammatical errors have been corrected. Ask how you can work with two experienced editors for your copy editing and proofreading needs. We really do have you covered.
Colleen Snibson has been editing professionally since 2014 after she completed on online course through Open Colleges for her Certificate in Professional Editing and Proofreading. After brushing up her skills, she started her own editing business, Colleen Snibson Editing.
Not long after Colleen started editing full time, she and Rogena met online. After a year of mentorship, and the building of a wonderful friendship, now Colleen and Rogena have decided to join forces. Still working separately with their own editing businesses, they now offer editing and proofreading together--Two Editors, Two Red Pens.
If you hire both Rogena and Colleen, you will receive the benefit of having two editors working on your manuscript—one as your initial copy editor and the other as your proofreader.
Trust us—we make a great team.
Colleen takes pride when editing and proofreading a manuscript and considers herself somewhat pedantic. She is an avid reader and loves all things words and grammar.
Feel free to contact Colleen for services separately or contact either Rogena or Colleen if you might be interested in hiring two seasoned editors to edit and proofread your manuscript before publishing.
Colleen lives near Melbourne, Australia, with her husband, Rob, and two beautiful daughters.
Rogena Mitchell-Jones has a background that consists of over 25 years in journalism and now editing full time for authors internationally since 2013 when she started RMJ Manuscript Service — offering editing, proofreading, and formatting. Her clientele base includes a vast array of Amazon, USA Today, and NY Times Bestselling Authors.
Rogena’s editing career has brought nominations and awards for Best Editor among the independent writing community internationally. Honored to have been nominated and then grateful to have been voted as BEST EDITOR, this means you can have an award-winning editor at your service. Experience does matter.
Rogena isn’t a writer—she’s an editor. She is here because she wants to assist you, the author, in creating a manuscript free of typographical errors, including correcting misspelled words, grammatical errors, and inconsistencies in plot, timeline, and characters. She gives vast attention to detail. With this attention to detail, she is able to polish your future bestseller with the clarity.
Let’s make your manuscript the masterpiece you have dreamed of publishing. She is an editor, not an author. She is a reader, not a writer. She is a Copy Editor. She wants to live in your story while reading your manuscript. She is here to assist you in producing the best product possible for your readers.
Currently, Rogena lives in South Jersey with her wife, Karen, and their extremely pampered cats. If she isn’t at home with a cat assisting her as she edits or snuggled with one as she reads a good book, coffee in hand, you might find her on the beach with a good book—sans cats, of course.
